Over the last few years my husband and I have started travelling to various places in the world when we have our holidays from work. I have watched countless videos with advice on what to pack, where to go, what to do and lots more to get me ready for my travels so far.

One thing I have found is that a lot of the videos are long and the content creators have waffled on. The beginning of the video summarises the content, but you watch 15 minutes and nothing has been answered, then you realise the video is 45 minutes long.

I'm getting to a stage in my life when I could become financially independent enough to retire and travel even more. When you start thinking about retirement, people tend to ask, "what are you going to do"? Friends at work have asked me lots of travel related questions so I thought it would be a good idea to write up the advice for others but make the advice short and sweet.

I hate seeing myself on video, but I am going to try and get past that for this retirement project. I have not retired yet, that is still some months away, but as I know it will take a while to create this site and the videos, now seemed like a good time to start.

OK, enough waffling from me for this first blog post. It is time to work on other content. I hope you enjoy this site.
